1. Open the Blinds Fully: Open the blinds as wide as possible.
2. Locate the Mounting Brackets: The mounting brackets are typically attached to the top of the window frame or wall. Look for small metal clips or brackets holding the blinds in place.
3. Remove the Blinds from the Brackets: Depending on the type of blinds, there are different methods to remove them. Most Hunter Douglas shades can be removed from the brackets with a screwdriver.
4. For standard horizontal blinds: Locate the small tabs on the backside of the headrail (the top part of the blinds). Push these tabs inward, and at the same time, lift the front of the headrail upward. This should release the blinds from the brackets.
