PEARL RIVER, NY (APRIL 17, 2018)—Now you don’t have to choose between light-filtering or room-darkening fabrics in a Roman shade, you can have both. Vignette^® Modern Roman Shades take light and privacy control one ingenious step further with the extraordinary Duolite^® dual-opacity option. Vignette Duolite shades are the only Roman shades that combine a sheer or light-filtering fabric along with a room-darkening back panel on a single roller. The dual-opacity option lets you enjoy the luxurious textures, colors and weaves of our sheer and light-filtering fabrics; once the front shade is completely lowered, the back panel can then be lowered to provide room-darkening when desired.

Vignette Modern Roman Shades with Duolite are a brand-new product offering from Hunter Douglas, launching in April 2018. The dual-opacity option on a single roller is unique to Hunter Douglas Roman Shades and the industry. While there are other dual-roller shade products in the market, Vignette Duolite Shades are the only ones that require a single roller, as opposed to two rollers. The single roller allows for a single PowerView^® Automation motor surcharge, a major advantage from a cost perspective. In addition, less mounting depth is required with a single roller than with a dual roller system. 

As with all Vignette Modern Roman Shades, luxurious fabrics and soft folds give the shades a clean, crisp look with the added benefit of no exposed rear cords for enhanced child safety. These shades are the perfect reinvention of the traditional Roman shade. The Vignette fabric line has been refreshed for 2018 to include more contemporary fabrics, more whites and grays, and a new sheer fabric—Leela, available in six stunning colors.
